Job summary

KKR is seeking a Vice President, Technical Lead to serve as the in-house technical authority on AI infrastructure across the full stack. You will interface with hyperscalers, chip vendors, and supply chain partners, shaping architecture and investment judgments.

The role demands senior leadership, deep data center power and cooling knowledge, and the ability to translate technical insights into strategic actions.

Qualifications

• Senior design or engineering leadership in hyperscaler or large-scale data center ops.
• Able to translate technical roadmaps into business decisions.
• Deep knowledge of data center electrical/mechanical systems and cooling.
• Credible with senior technical peers for design reviews.
• Good judgment to distinguish durable trends from fads.
• Clear communicator of complex trade-offs to investment pros.
• Collaborative, cross-functional with investment, ops and advisory teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical diligence on data center investments from screening to IC.
• Assess vendor capability across the supply chain.
• Evaluate power, cooling and rack-level design assumptions as needs change.
• Act as technical counterpart to hyperscaler engineering and chip vendors.
• Build senior relationships for early visibility into design/tech shifts.
• Advise on productization and scaling strategies to create durable edge.
• Bring product and innovation experience to identify new operating models.
