Job summary

MEDHOST, a healthcare IT leader, seeks a visionary Vice President to steer software engineering and AI transformation across the product and platform portfolio. You will build and scale high-performing teams, execute the technology strategy, and drive an AI-first agenda across AI-DLC and enterprise products.

You will partner with executives to translate business goals into actionable tech priorities, oversee modernization and AI initiatives, and drive governance, security, and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SWE, IT or related discipline.
• 15+ years tech experience including 8+ years in software leadership and 5+ years in senior roles leading large software engineering organizations.
• 3-5+ years' experience with EHR/healthcare software environments.
• Proven experience implementing AI and machine learning capabilities within enterprise products and AI-DLC workflows.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI orchestration, and AI governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing software engineering organization accountable for product delivery, technology evolution, security, reliability, and operational outcomes.
• Improve delivery predictability, developer productivity, software quality, resiliency, scalability, and cost effectiveness while balancing innovation and modernization.
• Partner with executive leadership to translate business strategy into executable technology priorities and investments.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to measure progress, software engineering effectiveness, AI adoption, and business impact.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to create competitive advantage through innovation.
