Walker & Dunlop Affordable Equity is seeking a VP, Project Manager to lead a pod within the Acquisitions team, guiding project management professionals through LIHTC transactions from underwriting to closing. The role emphasizes strategic direction, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination with developers, investors, and internal stakeholders.

You will set expectations, coach team members, and foster collaboration while strengthening investor relationships and sourcing investment

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
10+ years of experience in real estate finance, development, or affordable housing transactions.
Extensive underwriting, structuring, and overseeing complex transactions, preferably LIHTC.

Responsibilities

Lead a pod of project management professionals to drive timely, compliant transaction execution.
Oversee acquisition processes from underwriting to closing and investor relations.
Guide negotiations of partnership agreements and financing documents with developers and lenders.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure due diligence, risk mitigation, and successful closings.
Mentor and develop team members to strengthen capabilities and accountability.
