Job summary

Gradel Professional Search is seeking a senior accounting leader for a fast-growing aerospace and defense manufacturer. You will own consolidated GAAP reporting across several ERP systems and oversee a centralized accounting function as the company expands through acquisitions.

You will apply deep FAR, CAS, and earned value management experience, lead a multi-entity team, and partner with FP&A to support broader finance operations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years aerospace & defense accounting experience.
• 5+ years leading complex accounting teams.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-ERP consolidation.
• Strong GAAP technical knowledge and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Own consolidated GAAP financial reporting across multiple ERP systems.
• Apply deep expertise in government cost accounting, including FAR, CAS, and earned value management.
• Oversee preparation of monthly financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, along with the monthly banking package.
• Manage general ledger reconciliations and trial balance roll-ups across business units.
• Lead a centralized, shared-services accounting team covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and labor accounting.
• Partner with FP&A and pricing leadership to support broader finance operations.
• Help design and scale the accounting organization's structure as the company continues to grow.
• Build and mentor a growing accounting team, including senior accountants and a fixed-asset accountant.

What You'll Do

• Own consolidated GAAP financial reporting across multiple ERP systems, with more entities expected to be added as the company continues to grow through acquisition
• Apply deep expertise in government cost accounting, including FAR, CAS, and earned value management
• Oversee preparation of monthly financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, along with the monthly banking package
