Job summary

Morningstar DBRS is seeking a Ratings Analyst to join their U.S. ABS team in New York. This role involves conducting analytical activities for assigning and monitoring ratings for U.S. ABS transactions under minimal supervision. The successful candidate will engage in performance data analysis, structural analysis, and legal document review, emphasizing teamwork and strong analytical skills.

The candidate will also be responsible for leading rating committees and presenting findings to senior team members while mentoring junior analysts within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in structured finance.
• Proficiency with credit and legal aspects of structured finance transactions.
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a lead rating analyst with minimal supervision.
• Discuss rating approaches with bankers, issuers, and investors.
• Prepare disclosure documents such as rating reports and press releases.
• Mentor junior analysts.
