Job summary

Voter Education Project is hiring canvassers in Detroit for the 2026 campaign season. You will engage community members, share information on elections, candidates and ballot measures, and encourage participation. The role supports civic participation and democratic engagement during the election cycle.

The ideal candidate writes and reads well, has reliable transportation, and can work daily as assigned. Physical stamina to walk/stand 5-8 hours is required; evenings and weekends flexible.

Qualifications

• The skill and ability to write and read.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Completion of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Applicants must be able to work every day as assigned.
• Physical ability to walk and/or stand for 5-8 hours a day.
