Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate School-Based Physical Therapist to join our Volusia County Schools therapy team. You will conduct evaluations, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success.

This role follows a school-year schedule with full-time or PRN options, benefits, mentorship, and opportunities for ESY assignments. Join us for meaningful, school-year work with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current State of Florida Physical Therapist license and eligibility for an NPI number.
• One year of related clinical experience and/or pediatric therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to meet driver qualifications to drive personal vehicle for program-related needs.

Responsabilités

• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to assess students' needs.
• Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans to support student success.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams through IEPs, SSTs, 504 Plans, and problem-solving meetings.
• Track progress using EMR and other systems per DOE and Easterseals standards.
• Prepare reports, justifications, and documentation for quality service and compliance.
• Mentor and supervise assistant-level therapists and interns.
• Participate in peer reviews and ongoing professional development.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current State of Florida Physical Therapist license and eligibility for an NPI number
• One year of related clinical experience and/or training (pediatric therapy experience preferred)
• Current CPR Certification
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Integrity, flexibility, and a heart for helping children thrive
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
