Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join our school-based therapy team serving students across Volusia County Schools. This role offers a school-year schedule with full-time or PRN options, Monday–Friday, school hours only, with mentorship and flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.

You will evaluate and treat students, collaborate with teachers and families through IEPs and 504 plans, track progress in EMR, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current State of Florida Physical Therapist license and eligibility for an NPI number.
• One year of pediatric therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to assess students’ needs.
• Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans that support student success.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams through IEPs, SSTs, 504 Plans, and problem-solving meetings.
• Track progress using EMR and other approved systems in alignment with DOE and Easterseals standards.
• Prepare reports, justifications, and documentation to ensure quality service and compliance.
• Mentor and supervise assistant-level therapists (COTAs), interns, and volunteers.
• Participate in peer reviews and ongoing professional development
