Join Our Team as a Volunteer Supervisor

CASA First’s mission is to support and promote volunteer advocacy so that children and youth from Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos Counties who are trauma-impacted or at risk can be safe, have permanent connections, and have the opportunity to thrive.

Position Summary

CASA First is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and highly organized Volunteer Supervisor to join our growing team.

The Volunteer Supervisor is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, supervising, and supporting volunteer advocates in our CASA and Abrigo Advocate programs. This role also oversees case management support, volunteer and client data management, resource coordination, community partnerships, and program operations.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $50,000–$55,000 annually, depending on experience
  • Monthly wellness stipend: $400 ($4,800 annually)

Qualifications

  • Passion for CASA First’s mission and commitment to serving diverse children and families
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, or Los Alamos County
  • Within the first year, the Volunteer Supervisor will complete CASA volunteer training and be assigned at least one CASA case.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment & Program Oversight
  • Support the coordination and administration of CASA and Abrigo Advocate programs
  • Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers
  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings
  • Maintain volunteer records and application files
  • Develop and manage year-round volunteer training opportunities
  • Coordinate training sessions, guest speakers, and continuing education
  • Ensure compliance with National and State CASA standards and best practices
Volunteer Supervision & Support
  • Supervise and support CASA and Abrigo volunteers
  • Provide case consultation, guidance, and resource referrals
  • Maintain regular communication with volunteers
  • Monitor volunteer participation and court involvement
  • Assist with volunteer reports and documentation as needed
  • Support volunteer accountability, growth, and retention
Case Management & Data Administration
  • Manage volunteer-related paperwork, notices, correspondence, and training records
  • Maintain accurate case and volunteer data in program databases
  • Track program outcomes and prepare data for grant and organizational reporting
  • Support case coordination and resource navigation for clients and families
Community Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, service providers, and stakeholders
  • Represent CASA First at community meetings, events, and speaking engagements
  • Promote awareness, support, and recognition of CASA First’s programs and mission
Program Support
  • Participate in trainings, conferences, staff meetings, and performance evaluations
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly program reports and statistics
  • Provide regular updates to the Executive Director regarding program activities, volunteer engagement, and case status
  • Perform other duties as assigned
