About the Organization

The Áo Dài Festival is a nonprofit cultural celebration founded to preserve and share the beauty and heritage of the Áo Dài , Vietnam’s traditional dress. We bring together designers, artists, and community leaders to spotlight Vietnamese culture through fashion, art, and storytelling. Our 8th festival (ADF8) will take place in May 2026 in San Jose, CA.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Volunteer Social Media Marketing Manager to drive and manage the festival’s social media presence across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn). This role is ideal for someone passionate about content creation, digital storytelling, and cultural events.

You will develop engaging campaigns, manage the content calendar, collaborate with our design team, and help grow the festival’s online presence to increase visibility, audience engagement, and event awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a strategic social media calendar from August 2025 through May 2026
• Write and publish engaging content that promotes ADF8 programs, designers, performers, vendors, and sponsors
• Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and designers to create compelling visual content (reels, stories, posts, etc.)
• Monitor and respond to social media messages, comments, and tags
• Track metrics and analytics to evaluate campaign performance and audience growth
• Support media partnerships, influencer collaborations, and live event coverage
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and cross-functional teams (design, PR, sponsorship, program)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing social media platforms (personal or professional)
• Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills
• Proficiency in tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, and scheduling platforms
• A creative, proactive, and collaborative approach to community engagement
• Ability to commit to 3–5 hours/week, with increased availability during key pre-event and event weeks
• Passion for culture, heritage, and community service
• Vietnamese language or cultural familiarity is a plus
