Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, DE is seeking a Volunteer Services Manager to lead our volunteer team across Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals and satellites. You will recruit, onboard and train volunteers, develop orientation programs and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires supervising staff, managing data, and coordinating budgets while partnering with leadership to enhance patient and family experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, psychology, sociology or related field with supervisory experience.
• Experience recruiting, onboarding and retaining volunteers is preferred.
• Knowledge of volunteer management best practices and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coordination of volunteer utilization to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Create volunteer assignments and recruit, interview, onboarding, and place volunteers.
• Develop orientation, training programs and annual education for volunteers.
• Manage evaluation, retention, recognition and budget coordination.
• Develop SOPs to optimize department efficiencies and generate reports for leadership.
