Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and reliability in daily operations.

The ideal candidate holds a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, participates in a local church aligned with our faith statement, and passes background checks and drug/alcohol tests. Training and potential classroom volunteering are included.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Active participation in local church consistent with LifeWise Academy's faith statement.
• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required; School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Ages 21–80; drivers above 75 must submit CDL license and (P) endorsement annually.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing per program rules.
• Medical statements as required by LifeWise Academy.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and keep the bus clean and mechanically safe.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting and monitor behavior.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by the director.
