Job summary

PACES Charity in North Lebanon seeks a Project Coordinator (volunteer) to lead the Power of Play wheelchair basketball project in Beddawi and Nahr el Bared camps. You will support coaches, manage logistics, and ensure delivery aligned with PACES’ curriculum and goals.

You should have basketball coaching experience (wheelchair basketball preferred), strong Arabic/English communication, and be resident near the project area. The role reports to the PACES Country Manager and runs for 11 months.

Qualifications

• . Coaching experience in basketball; wheelchair basketball preferred.
• . Experience in sports for development and life skills integration.
• . Familiarity with North Lebanon context.
• . Experience with refugee communities or disabled youth.
• . Strong administrative coordination experience.
• . Excellent Arabic and English communication; resident near project area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics of wheelchair basketball training sessions.
• Support outreach to ensure 50% female participation.
• Collect consent forms and participant IDs.
• Ensure sessions follow project plan and PACES guidelines.
• Distribute equipment and uniforms to participating groups.
• Provide on-field supervision to 4 coaches (2 head, 2 assistants).
• Monitor skills and life skills integration in training sessions.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to coaches and participants.
• Serve as key reference for coaches and local partner.
• Submit periodic reports to Country Manager.
• Collect data and reports for monitoring and evaluation.
