Piedmont Health Services, Inc. is seeking an Activities Coordinator for the PACE program at our Pittsboro location. The role focuses on organizing group activities, managing supplies, and coordinating with a Licensed Recreational Therapist to align activities with individual goals.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience coordinating services for elderly individuals. Teamwork and effective communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a social or recreational program serving frail or elderly populations within the past 5 years.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of recreational therapeutic activities and recreation services.
• Ability to report participant response and behavior in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work effectively with elderly participants of varying mental and physical abilities.
• Must meet the competencies set by PHSC and CMS before working independently.

Responsabilités

• Organize general group activities not tied to treatment plans and manage inventory of supplies, crafts and games.
• Interview participants about interests and hobbies; activities are designed by a Licensed Recreational Therapist to meet overall treatment goals.
