Job summary

Heart'n Soul Hospice in Fort Myers, FL seeks a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator (PRN) to recruit and train volunteers, and to ensure their retention within our hospice program. You will align volunteer activities with patient-care plans and regulatory requirements, delivering compassionate support to the community.

Qualifications

• College degree required; graduate of an accredited college/university is preferred.
• Experience in recruitment & management of volunteers, preferred.
• Working knowledge of volunteer program resources.
• Experience with EMR software is a plus.
• Must have a current driver's license.
• Must have reliable transportation and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit new volunteers.
• Train new volunteers on hospice philosophy, regulations, and job duties.
• Provide volunteers as per the hospice patients’ Plan of Care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, all local, state, and federal laws relating to the recruitment, training & retention of volunteers.
• Develop the volunteer program through collaboration with the IDG and administration personnel.
• Organize recruitment activities and match volunteer activity to retain current volunteers.
• Establish a public relations program to foster good working relations with volunteers & the community.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Ensure overall compliance with local, state & federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures.
