UnitedHealth Group's Heart and Home Hospice, part of the Optum family, seeks a Volunteer Manager to lead, manage, and coordinate hospice volunteers. You will recruit, train, educate, and assign volunteers for patient care, adhering to regulatory guidelines and company pillars.

This role emphasizes collaboration with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical teams, maintaining accurate records in the EMR, and ensuring program standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle
• Experience with Microsoft Suite and ability to learn multiple applications
• CPR certification preferred or able to complete within 90 days of hire
• Experience in healthcare environment (preferred)
• Strong presentation and communication abilities

Responsabilités

• Coordinate recruitment, training, ongoing education, and assignments for Hospice Volunteers
• Implement actions to ensure program standards meet regulatory or certification bodies and company pillars
• Meet with patients, caregivers, families, and hospice team to coordinate patient care-related volunteer assignments
• Assign volunteers to appropriate activities, monitor reports from volunteers and escalate urgent items
• Maintain accurate and timely volunteer activity documentation in the EMR in compliance with federal and state standards
