Job summary

The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy in Boston seeks a Volunteer Manager to oversee our volunteer program, serving individuals, corporate groups, students, and community groups. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in nonprofit programming, environmental studies, or volunteer management.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and manage diverse audiences.
• Strong written and oral communication; bilingual skills a plus, especially Chinese.
• Proficiency with Google for Work and Microsoft Office; Salesforce a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the volunteer program and ensure engaging experiences for participants.
• Manage relationships with individual volunteers, corporate groups, universities, and partner organizations.
• Collaborate with Horticulture and Maintenance to develop volunteer opportunities and plan budgets.
• Coordinate volunteer events, tours, fundraising activities, and public programs.
• Market programs, create photo/story content, and manage newsletters and social media.
• Collect feedback, improve programs, and oversee agreements and invoicing for volunteer work.
• Organize and oversee Greenway tours for the public and donors.
