Job summary

Midland County Habitat for Humanity (MCHFH) is seeking an outgoing Volunteer Coordinator to lead and manage all aspects of the volunteer program. You will recruit, place, engage, retain, and recognize volunteers while creating a welcoming and meaningful experience.

The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, strong communication, organization, and the ability to work independently with staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; associate or bachelor degree preferred in related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, scheduling, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn volunteer database systems.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, place, engage, retain, and recognize volunteers across construction, ReStore, repairs, committees, office, outreach, and events.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer contact information, hours, and waivers; track engagement trends for program improvements.
• Create leadership pathways for recurring volunteers and coordinate orientations and training.
