Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a dedicated Volunteer Services Coordinator to lead the hospital's volunteer program at Atrium Health Hospice Union - Administration. You will interview and orient volunteers, coordinate recruitment, screening and supervision, and ensure accurate records and reports to support daily operations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or at least three years of volunteer management experience, a 40-hour work week, 8:30-5 with occasional weekends and nights for events;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or minimum three years volunteer management experience.
• Experience interviewing and orienting volunteers; ability to coordinate recruitment and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operates the volunteer program; interviews and orientation for volunteers.
• Coordinates recruitment, screening, supervision and recognition for all volunteers.
• Coordinates area-specific training for volunteers to function in assigned areas.
• Creates and maintains the schedule of assignments and secures substitutes.
• Keeps volunteer records updated (hours, TB tests, recognitions, health information, safety and training).
• Evaluates program development and departmental goals; contributes to organizational improvements.
