Job summary

In this day shift exempt role, you will coordinate a diverse volunteer program across hospital departments, ensuring smooth operations, safety compliance, and meaningful community engagement. A Bachelor’s degree and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; three years of relevant program management experience.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of personal software packages.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire and maintain for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Selects, orients, trains, schedules and evaluates volunteers in applicable Volunteer Services areas.
• Develops and implements recruitment, retention and recognition strategies to achieve department goals.
• Oversees and supervises community volunteers and associated in-service programs.
• Manages and facilitates volunteer training and educational processes.
• Manages statistical data, volunteer files, and program information; ensures accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Develops new volunteer program areas by coordinating with internal departments.
• Participates in committees or teams to convey information.
• Performs specialized functions based on assigned area of responsibility.
• Coordinates scheduling of volunteers to ensure smooth operation of volunteer services.
