This position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering volunteer program for Banner Gateway Medical Center and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, which includes managing, recruiting, training, scheduling and evaluating a diverse group of volunteers in accordance with organizational vision, mission and philosophy.
Additional duties will include daily rounding and recognition, organizing volunteer schedules, building and maintaining relationships with all hospital departments who support volunteers.

Our inpatient medical oncology unit also incorporates a program that utilizes the electronic surveillance partnership in caring for the patient, where remote nurses have the ability to interact with patients via two‑way audio‑video to assist the bedside nurse with patient care.
This position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering volunteer program(s) for an assigned facility or campus, which includes managing, recruiting, training, scheduling and evaluating a diverse group of volunteers in accordance with organizational vision, mission and philosophy. This position promotes and supports volunteerism through community programs and partnerships.
Knowledge of applicable principles and practices as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and a working knowledge of program management principles and practices as normally demonstrated through a minimum of three years relevant experience.
Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact and provide assistance to a diverse group of individuals. Must have a working knowledge of personal software packages. Skilled in handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and multi‑task workload in a fast paced environment. Proficient use of written language in composing a variety of presentations, policies, procedures, and other applicable communication pieces. Skilled in maintaining composure and professional demeanor in difficult and stressful situations.
