Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to support the Volunteer Department and staff. You will recruit, schedule, and supervise volunteers for on-site and off-site events, ensuring a positive volunteer experience and accurate reporting of hours and activities.

The role requires a High School Diploma (with two years of college preferred), strong multitasking, and excellent public speaking and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Prefer at least 2 years’ College‑level coursework completed.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multitasking and time management.
• Excellent public speaking, oral and written skills.
• Excellent customer service and engagement with the public.
• Proficient in basic computer applications such as Excel and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, schedule, and coordinate volunteers for on-site events and off-site distributions.
• Train, orient, and supervise volunteers; maintain volunteer schedule and records.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with volunteers and staff.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, voicemail, email; manage volunteer recognition program.
