A leading organization in the recovery community is seeking a full-time Volunteer Manager in New London. This role involves implementing a Volunteer Management System, focusing on recruitment, training, and support for volunteers, while promoting recovery services. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, with a background in community organizing or volunteer management.
CCAR is looking for a full time Volunteer Manager responsible for implementing the Volunteer Management System within the New London Recovery Community Center. Includes recruitment, retention, training, evaluation, and recognition. The ideal person will be enthusiastic, extremely well organized, and passionate about working closely with people in recovery.

A valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable vehicle required. Travel to other recovery community centers as needed. A cover letter highlighting your interest and experience is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the New London Recovery Community Center Volunteers including scheduling, supervision, evaluation, retention and record keeping.
• Provide individual (one-on-one) support, system navigation for recoverees and their families, provide resources, referrals, answer phone calls and handle requests for assistance.
• Assist with the various Recovery Community Center daily activities and special events related to volunteers.
• Recruits volunteers; promotes recovery support services in their local community.
• Work with the RCC Manager and to maintain a recovery-focused culture.
• Serve as a recovery ambassador.
• Promote the message and services of CCAR.
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of three years community organizing and/or volunteer management experience preferred.
• Positive attitude, motivational and encouragement skills necessary.
• Experience in facilitating trainings.
• Knowledge about addiction recovery a plus.
• Cross-cultural skills, and experience with culturally diverse populations.
• Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills.
• Organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
• Computer skills and current technology experience.
• Self-starter, flexible and team oriented.
