Job summary

The Mountaineers in Seattle is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to support a 3,000+ volunteer network and lead leadership development programs. Reporting to the Associate Director of Programs & Leadership, you will coordinate programs, recognize volunteers, and collaborate with staff, volunteers, and external partners to deliver high-impact programming.

This in-person role with a flexible remote option supports equity and community values and offers opportunities to engage across Puget Sound.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer leadership development and volunteer recognition programs and events.
• Provide strategic administrative and programmatic support to volunteer leadership.
• Schedule, facilitate, and track leadership development programs and events.
• Develop relationships with leadership development presenters.
• Administer volunteer appreciation program and related gear orders.
• Support Member Services in annual volunteer recognition and awards.
• Facilitate annual cross-branch summit meetings.
• Provide admin support to Alpine Ambassadors program.
• Attend and participate in volunteer and staff-led programs.
• Create and curate leadership development communications.
• Write and curate quarterly Mountaineer magazine contributions.
• Write content for blogs and newsletters.
