Pelotonia is seeking an Event & Volunteer Operations Coordinator in Columbus, OH to engage and coordinate volunteers year-round and support Ride Weekend and Gravel Day operations. The role reports to the Event Operations Director and collaborates with partners to execute multiple events.

Responsibilities

• Execute and improve the year-round volunteer engagement plan.
• Serve as staff point of contact for Volunteer-related questions.
• Use Salesforce to upload, edit, and monitor volunteer shifts.
• Set up group Volunteer blocks and monitor registrations.
• Recruit, train, and manage 50+ Lead Volunteers.
• Establish stewardship and recognition opportunities for Volunteers.
• Recruit specialized Volunteers (medical, mechanical, SAG).
• Update Volunteer materials annually.
• Manage relationships with partner bike shops for discounts.
• Lead Volunteer training and orientation sessions.
• Plan Ride Weekend & Gravel Day communications to communities.
• Plan spirit stations and volunteer cheer groups.
• Assist with warehouse and inventory management.
• Manage relationships with key in-kind vendors.
• Lead events operations for auxiliary events.
• Support planning for High Roller Evening and Survivor Celebration.
