Job summary

Live 2 Give Hope in Missouri seeks a VISTA Volunteer Engagement and Operations Specialist to build capacity by creating a volunteer infrastructure, including a recruitment and engagement framework, onboarding and training materials, and a volunteer communication system.

You will also establish scheduling tools, retention/recognition processes, and a robust feedback workflow to sustain operations after the service year. This is capacity-building work, not direct client service.

Qualifications

• Experience in community outreach, volunteer engagement, or nonprofit programs.
• Ability to design onboarding materials and volunteer workflows.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a volunteer recruitment and engagement framework with target audiences and channels.
• Create standardized onboarding and training materials; design guides and resources.
• Build a volunteer communication/coordination system with scheduling tools and templates.
• Establish retention and recognition processes and a volunteer feedback program.
