Job summary

IRC in Oakland seeks a Volunteer and Donations Coordinator to lead volunteer/intern recruitment, onboarding, and engagement, while coordinating in-kind donations and align with NorCal’s fundraising strategy.

You will track volunteer hours, maintain records, and collaborate across teams to ensure program objectives are met; role requires strong communication and multi-cultural engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required with emphasis in relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years in community engagement.
• Experience in fundraising, sponsorship solicitation, or donor cultivation with ability to meet targets.
• Fluent in English; excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies for volunteers and interns.
• Screen, orient, and match volunteers and interns with opportunities.
• Maintain records of volunteer participation and hours.
• Coordinate onboarding orientations and administrative needs for new recruits.
• Oversee storage, inventory, and distribution of in-kind donations.
• Track and report on in-kind contributions monthly alongside Operations Specialist.
• Integrate volunteer activity tracking into Integra and related systems.
• Plan and execute fundraising and outreach events aligned with development strategy.
