? The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing the hospice volunteer program to ensure adequate volunteer support for patients, families, and hospice operations. This role includes recruiting, training, supervising, and retaining volunteers while maintaining compliance with hospice regulations and organizational policies. The Volunteer Coordinator works closely with the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) to identify volunteer needs, support patient care, and enhance the overall hospice experience.

High School diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
1 year of experience in volunteer coordination, recruitment or program management preferred
Driver’s license and proof of current auto liability insurance; no listing in the OIG Excluded Provider listing
Works under a variety of conditions in facilities and offices; ability to work flexible schedule, ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather . Moderate noise level; tasks may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens; moderate stress and emotional demands.
Sitting is required. Requires ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs. Ability to travel.
