Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Mississippi is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to organize and grow the volunteer program. You will recruit, interview, and place volunteers, collaborate with community organizations, and maintain volunteer records.

You will provide orientation and training, ensuring volunteers are supported and compliant. The role emphasizes strong people skills, coordination, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience working with volunteers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have Mississippi driver’s license, auto insurance and CPR.
• Hospice or healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and coordinates the volunteer program.
• Recruits and interviews potential volunteer candidates.
• Works with community organizations to promote St. Joseph Hospice.
• Clerical duties as maintaining organized volunteer records.
