Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh is seeking a Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator to support adults with intellectual disabilities through a comprehensive volunteer program. The role involves recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising volunteers, with emphasis on community engagement and outreach.
This non-exempt position requires evenings and weekend availability, 20–25 hours weekly, and may include some office work.

Mostly field work to include evenings and weekends / some office time / no remote days
20-25 hours per week (to include Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-2)
Director of Community Relations
High School Diploma or higher; experience involving the coordination or supervision of volunteers preferred. Experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Share Point, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong communication, organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and to maintain confidentiality. Driver’s License, reliable transportation, Act 34 & FBI clearances. Flexibility.
Ability to travel throughout the County; ability to attend occasional evening and weekend events; ability to lift up to 30 pounds
The volunteer coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Community Relations with developing and implementing a comprehensive volunteer program that supports the mission of Emmaus Community serving adults with intellectual disabilities. This position recruits, trains, schedules and supports volunteers (groups and individuals) while fostering meaningful relationships with the people served and with Emmaus employees. EOE
