Job summary

By The Bay Health is seeking a full-time Volunteer Coordinator in Larkspur, CA, with occasional travel to Sonoma. The role reports to Volunteer Services Manager and supports volunteer recruitment, screening, training, and supervision within clinical and nonclinical settings.

The pay range is $28.00–$38.00 hourly, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent and preferred two years of coordinating volunteer programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience coordinating volunteer programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, screening, orientation, training, and retention of volunteers.
• Select, assign, and serve as a primary resource for volunteers.
• Maintain volunteer files per BTBH policy.
• Keep volunteer records updated in the electronic database.
• Educate agency staff on assignments, supervision, and teamwork with volunteers.

The Volunteer Coordinator provides support to agencies by means of volunteer recruitment, supervision, and documentation as identified by the Volunteer Services Manager

Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm

Larkspur Office with occasional travel to our Sonoma Office

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include

(but are not limited to):

• Coordinate recruitment, screening, orientation, training, and retention of volunteers in both clinical and nonclinical roles
• Select, assign, and remain an overall resource for volunteers
• Maintain volunteer personnel files according to BTBH policy and procedures
• Maintain current and updated volunteer records in the electronic database
• Provide education/orientation to agency staff regarding assignment, supervision, and maintaining effective working relationships with volunteers

Education/Experience

• Associate degree (A. ) or equivalent from two-year college; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum two years’ experience coordinating volunteer programs preferred

Pay Range

$28.00 - $38.00 hourly
