Responsibilities include developing recruitment strategies, training volunteers, assigning roles, and coordinating bereavement interventions, with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral or Social Science preferred.
• One year experience in a related field and volunteer activity preferred.

• Provide training, orientation, and oversight to Caris Healthcare Volunteers.
• Assign volunteers to meet program needs and volunteer interests and skills.
• Arrange volunteer meetings for support, ongoing training, problem solving, and community engagement.
• Complete social assessments with patients and caregivers to enhance quality of life.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and develop the patient plan of care.
• Coordinate bereavement interventions and community outreach.
