LifeWise Academy is seeking a dedicated CDL bus driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a caring demeanor, ensuring a secure environment for children.

The ideal candidate maintains a clean driving record, completes required trainings, and adheres to LifeWise policies, including background checks and annual medical certifications. Local church involvement is expected per policy.

Qualifications

• CDL driving license with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) is required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Age between 21 and 80 years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing per LifeWise policy.
• Physician's Statement for known medical conditions as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting the bus and monitor behavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom activities if agreed.
