Job summary

LifeWise Academy Inc. seeks a CDL bus driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site.

The ideal candidate maintains a clean driving record, has a passenger vehicle endorsement and passes background/MVR checks, FMCSA Clearinghouse, and regular drug testing as required. Training and potential classroom volunteering are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Requires CDL license and endorsements for passenger vehicle (P).
• Must have clean driving record within last five years.
• Background check and MVR/FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance required.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required pre-employment and regularly.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the bus's cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanour.
• Be aware of students needing help or misbehaving.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if directed.
