Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to transport public school students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, a clean driving record, and passing background and MVR checks.

You will follow safety rules, perform vehicle inspections, and support students as needed. Candidate must be at least 21 and under 80, with annual verification of licenses.

Qualifications

• CDL license required with endorsement for passenger vehicle (P)
• School bus endorsement preferred
• Must be 21–80 years old with annual CDL license and endorsement documentation when over 75
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last 5 years
• Background check, FMCSA Clearinghouse check and MVRC/MVR requirements
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required pre-employment and periodically thereafter
• Annual Physician's Statement if medical conditions exist

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections and refueling as needed
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle and monitor behavior
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom as agreed with director
