Job summary

PEAKE is seeking a VoI P E engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise voice and collaboration systems across dispersed environments. The role focuses on Cisco Unified Communications in DoD contexts and requires active DoD clearance.

You will manage CUCM, Unity, Expressways, and related platforms, perform upgrades, ensure security compliance, and create detailed documentation for operations and support teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years administering Cisco UC platforms in enterprise/DoD environments.
• CCNA certification mandatory.
• Hands-on CUCM, Unity Connection, Expressways, SIP, QoS, VG series gateways.
• Experience upgrading/migrating Cisco UC systems (UCS servers, VMware ESXi).
• Strong understanding of DISA STIG IA security for DoD networks.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex UC issues in distributed networks.
• Familiarity with RTMT and SolarWinds for monitoring.
• Strong technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and administrative support for CUCM, Unity Connection, Expressways, Jabber, and related platforms across NIPR/SIPR and VoSIP networks.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize UC systems for availability and performance with RTMT and SolarWinds.
• Perform upgrades, migrations, and patching of UC infrastructure (UCS servers, VG gateways, VMware).
• Support provisioning, deployment, and configuration of telephony devices and automated workflows.
• Develop and maintain system design guides, installation manuals, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to resolve UC issues.
