Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Voice and Video Technician to support a government contract onsite in Washington, DC. The engineer will configure, manage, monitor, and maintain conference rooms and video-teleconferencing endpoints.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, a IT-related bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience (or 4 years with equivalent), and a current IAT Level II certification. Strong VoIP/Video tech experience is essential.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 5+ years of experience, or 4 years with equivalent experience.
  • Current 8140/8570 IAT Level II compliant certification.
  • CCST Certification (IT Support or Networking).
  • Strong understanding of VoIP and Video technologies (Avaya, Cisco, Tandburg, Webex).

Responsibilities

  • Tier II phone support for incidents related to network conference room video systems, desktop video, and video gateways.
  • Provide End User support including in-room and external network access; troubleshoot, schedule, and administer video teleconferences.
  • Test and configure existing hardware; apply security controls and certificates; perform platform-specific configuration testing.
  • Patch and firmware upgrades; break/fix support; on-site assistance for events and daily operations.
  • Test and evaluate video infrastructure equipment such as multi-controller units and video control systems.
  • Test and evaluate video endpoint devices and peripherals.
  • Document and report all testing activities.
  • Develop training for end users on endpoint devices.
