Job summary

KeenLogic is seeking a Voice Tier 3 Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force EACN. You will configure Cisco VoIP environments, enhance security, and troubleshoot connections between EACN and customer voice networks in a lab-and-field setting at Scott Air Force Base, IL.

Responsibilities include implementing patches, supporting CUCM/Unity/Voice devices, and collaborating with Government engineers to sustain voice capabilities across laboratory and operational environments.

Qualifications

Voice Tier 3 Engineer

KeenLogic is seeking a Voice Tier 3 Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force’s Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN). EACN delivers voice, video, and data services to senior U.S. Government leaders aboard executive aircraft through operational gateways at Scott Air Force Base, Joint Base Andrews, and Joint Base Lewis-McChord. A Systems Integration Lab at Scott Air Force Base supports engineering, testing, and validation of changes before operational implementation.

This position will provide advanced engineering and technical support for EACN’s Cisco-based Voice over Internet Protocol environment. The engineer will configure, enhance, secure, and troubleshoot voice systems and develop connections between EACN and external customer voice networks.

Position Details

• Anticipated Start: January 2, 2027, with availability required for the beginning of phase-in.
• Contract Length: Anticipated phase-in from January 2–February 1, 2027, followed by a base period from February 2–September 30, 2027. Four one-year option periods may extend performance through September 30, 2031, with a potential six-month extension through March 31, 2032.
• Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
• Onsite Requirements: Onsite support for the laboratory and operational environment. Limited telework is subject to Government approval and mission requirements.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with an assigned schedule within 6:30 AM–5:30 PM Central Time, excluding federal holidays.
• Clearance: Top Secret security clearance.
• Operational Designation: Mission-essential support.
• Travel: Government-approved travel within the continental United States may be required for technical support and contract activities.

Required Qualifications

• Top Secret security clearance.
• 5+ years of VoIP experience.
• Cisco voice certification with a concentration on Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) that includes the 350-801 Implementing and Operating Cisco Collaboration Core Technologies (CLCOR) exam.
• Ability to perform onsite duties at Scott Air Force Base and meet applicable DoD workforce and privileged-access qualification requirements.

Job Expectations

• Ability to configure, maintain, troubleshoot, patch, and enhance Cisco voice and collaboration systems.
• Working capability with CUCM, Cisco Unity, Instant Message and Presence, teleconference bridges, and Ribbon VX900 devices.
• Ability to develop and troubleshoot SIP connectivity involving Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, and external customer voice networks.
• Ability to support Network Engineering Tier 3 functions and follow laboratory testing, documentation, and configuration-control practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop configurations and connection methods for Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, and other SIP-enabled devices.
• Establish and troubleshoot SIP connections between EACN and customer voice environments, including Call Manager Express, Survivable Remote Site Telephony, and other Cisco VoIP networks.
• Perform or assist with Network Engineering Tier 3 activities, including complex troubleshooting and configuration support.
• Validate applicable voice-related hardware, software, and configuration changes in the Systems Integration Lab before operational deployment.
• Maintain technical and configuration documentation and support installation guides, configuration training, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Coordinate with Government engineers and gateway personnel to resolve service issues and sustain voice capabilities across the laboratory and operational environments.
