Job summary

Apogee is seeking a Lead Voice Engineer to support critical DoD missions at Joint Base Andrews, MD. The role focuses on managing Cisco VoIP systems, SIP connectivity, and integration with A2G2 gateways and SIL facilities.

The position requires US citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance, with extensive DoD experience and a strong background in voice engineering. On-site, full-time at JBA with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required and eligible for TS/SCI clearance
• Eight years of experience in the respective technical field, including five years of DoD experience
• Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred for advanced roles
• DoDD 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program certification (per listing)
• CCNA and CompTIA Network+ certifications listed in the qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to SLC3S-A Operations and related platforms including E-4B/NAOC and Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft
• Support EACN A2G2 gateways and SIL operations, GSOC coordination
• Administer Cisco VoIP environment: Call Manager, Cisco Unity, IM&P, and Teleconference bridges; maintain SBCs and SIP connections
• Manage SIP connections between EACN VoIP and customer networks including Asterisk and SRST

Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Voice Engineer to provide support for the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) support task order, which provides Command, Control, Communications (C3) services for multiple critical U.S. Government missions via multiple Air to Global Information Grid (GIG) Gateways (A2G2's) supported by a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).

This is a full-time position located on-site at Joint Base Andrews (JBA) in Andrews, MD.

Responsibilities

• Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to Senior Leader Command, Control, Communications Systems-Airborne (SLC3S-A) Operations, Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Operations, Air Force Global Strike Command's (AFGSC) E-4B aircraft, also known as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC), and U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft.
• Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to EACN Air to GIG Gateways (A2G2s), EACN Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), and the Government Security Operations Center (GSOC).
• Administer Cisco VoIP system to include call manager, Cisco Unity, Instant Message and Presence, and Teleconference bridges. Contractor shall maintain Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, Ribbon VX 900 devices, and other network devices that use Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) to connect system to external voice systems.
• Administer SIP connections between the EACN VoIP network and other customer networks, including Asterisk networks, Call Manager Express, Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), and other Cisco VoIP networks.
