Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation, a Federal government contractor, seeks a VoIP/telecommunications engineer to provide tier 3 support for voice networks. You will configure Cisco VoIP systems (CUCM, Unity) and SIP between networks, across Cisco and Ribbon devices, and related platforms.

A CCNP Collaborations cert, 5+ years of experience, and TS clearance are required. The role involves hands-on hardware in a secure environment and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a VoIP or telecommunications engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Must be CCNP Collaborations certified.
• Hands-on experience with physical network infrastructure (switches, routers).
• Extensive experience with Cisco tools and technologies including Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) and Unity.
• Experience with network implementation and maintenance.
• Able to demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties.
• Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization.
• Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 3 engineering and support for voice and communications networks.
• Configure, develop, patch, STIG, enhance, and add features to Cisco VoIP system to include Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Ribbon VX900 devices, Instant Message and Presence and Teleconference Bridges.
• Develop configurations for SIP connections between the VoIP network and other customer networks including Asterisk networks, Call Manager Express, SRST, and other Cisco VoIP networks.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in a VoIP or telecommunications engineering role. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Must be CCNP Collaborations certified.
