Job summary

Wheaton Park District is seeking a part-time instructor to plan and implement youth music lessons in Wheaton, IL. You will demonstrate instruments, take attendance, and manage classroom behavior while communicating with participants and parents.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC.

Must have and maintain: CPR/AED certified or obtain within one (1) year of employment. Be a "Mandated Reporter" for the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to: frequently remain in a stationary position for long periods of time with occasional repetitive use of hands/arms; continuous use of hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation such as when using a musical instrument, and must be able to hear.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to: work in an indoor environment with moderate lighting and above average noise.

HOURS

Wednesday evenings (starting January 2025) 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.; 30-minute private sessions
