Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking a full-time Instructor of Voice in the Music Department to teach Applied Voice lessons, Diction, and Voice Class. Additional course assignments depend on qualifications and department needs, with modalities including face-to-face, online, and hybrid.

The candidate will work with faculty on curriculum, standards, and accreditation, and should be an active member of professional music organizations. The position starts January 2027 and is a 10.5-month contract.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Music or Music Education or equivalent.
• Experience as Voice instructor in higher education preferred.
• Ability to teach multiple modalities (F2F/online/hybrid).
• Commitment to curriculum, assessment, and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach Voice courses (Applied Voice, Diction, Voice Class).
• Contribute to curriculum, program review, and accreditation activities.
• Mentor students in the Music program and participate in departmental governance.
• Utilize technology and LMS to develop course content and manage coursework.
