Job summary

Austin Community College seeks a full-time Instructor of Voice in the ACC Music Department to provide leadership in teaching Music courses, including Applied Voice lessons, Diction, and Voice Class. Additional course assignments depend on qualifications and departmental needs, with multiple instructional modalities possible.

A successful candidate will collaborate on curriculum, standards, and accreditation, maintain active professional memberships, and commence a 10.5-month contract starting

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Music or Music Education; or Master’s with 18 graduate hours in Music.
• SACSCOC requirements may differ depending on courses taught.
• Experience as an instructor of Voice in a higher education institution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach courses in Voice and related vocal subjects to ACC students.
• Participate in curriculum review, program assessment, and departmental governance.
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback aligned with program outcomes.
• Mentor students in the Music program and support inclusive teaching practices.
• Utilize technology for instruction and manage course content in Blackboard.
• Maintain regular office hours and contribute to college-wide committees and goals.
