Texas A&M International University seeks a Fall Adjunct Faculty member in Music—Applied Voice and Voice Methods for on-campus instruction. The role involves teaching up to six semester hours, serving on faculty committees for voice recitals, and holding office hours to assist students.

Job Description

The Department of Fine and Performing Arts seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for a part-time adjunct faculty appointment in Music – Applied Voice and Voice Methods. Successful applicants may teach up to six (6) semester credit hours within the required discipline of applied voice lessons, serve on faculty committees for voice recitals, hold office hours, and assist students as needed. This position requires face‑to‑face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus.

Responsibilities
  • Teach up to six (6) semester credit hours of applied voice lessons.
  • Serve on faculty committees for voice recitals.
  • Hold office hours and assist students as needed.
  • Attend student voice recitals as a faculty committee member.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Music – vocal focus.
  • Experience teaching applied voice at the collegiate level.
  • Availability to attend student voice recitals as a faculty committee member.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching voice methods classes at the collegiate level.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with the public.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work under stress and with pressing timelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Other Information

These temporary appointments are assigned per semester on an as‑needed basis for the Fall 2026 semester and/or any applicable Fall 2026 sub‑terms. The above job duties may not be performed in every adjunct faculty position and might not include all related duties that may be performed.
