Qualifications

Responsibilities

Cantor Fitzgerald/BGC is seeking an experienced Voice Engineer to join our global infrastructure team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing our trading floor voice systems across a fast‑paced, high‑availability financial environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to operate under pressure in a mission‑critical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support enterprise voice solutions across trading floors and corporate environments.
• Tech support will be based at 110 East 59th street, NYNY 10022.
• Provide advanced engineering support for IPC Unigy, Cloud9, and related voice trading technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice infrastructure issues with minimal downtime.
• Manage system upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and trading support teams to ensure seamless communication services.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures for voice systems.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience as a Voice Engineer in a large enterprise environment.
• Proficiency with IPC Unigy IQ‑max, Touch and Agility trading platforms, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with Cloud9 voice trading platforms.
• Previous financial services experience is required, ideally supporting trading floors or broker‑dealer environments.
• Solid understanding of SIP, VoIP, QoS, SBCs, and voice network fundamentals.
• Experience with voice recording platforms ( NICE NT‑r, NTR‑x, Compass) is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with traders, technology teams, and vendors.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with IPC Unigy technologies
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of compliance recording, trade surveillance, and regulatory voice requirements.

Educational Qualifications

The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short‑and long‑term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
