TradeSTAR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Voice & Data Service Technician for the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will diagnose, repair, and document cabling systems across active facilities, coordinating with client IT and facility teams to ensure minimal downtime.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, moves/adds/changes, and field testing of copper and fiber, with a focus on independence and customer service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial voice/data, structured cabling, or low-voltage experience preferred.
• Experience with service calls, troubleshooting and MAC work.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Cat6 and Cat6A cabling.
• Experience terminating, testing, repairing copper cabling.
• Fiber optic troubleshooting and termination experience.
• Ability to read prints, floor plans and project docs.
• Basic IP networking understanding.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot and repair existing commercial voice and data cabling systems.
• Diagnose connectivity issues and determine solutions.
• Complete MAC work in active facilities.
• Install, terminate, repair and test Cat6 and Cat6A cabling.
• Test and certify copper and fiber installations.
• Coordinate with customer IT, facility teams and end users.
• Complete service documentation and manage calls with limited supervision.
