Qualifications

• 2+ years’ specialized training in electronic technology or closely related field, or one year installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber optics, copper cabling, network and telephony installations, and BPX/audio/video systems.
• Proven experience as telecommunications technician.
• Sound knowledge of telecommunications systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematic designs.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues.
• Physical ability to stand, lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and document test results for fiber, network, audio, video, and RF cabling
• Perform checks, locate and fix wiring errors using measuring instruments
• Investigate, diagnose, correct, and document instrumentation or system malfunctions
• Perform complex assignments involving communications systems and data processing
• Collaborate with team to troubleshoot failures from test data
• Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
• Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to meet business requirements
