Job summary

Alignerr is seeking native German-speaking voice actors to record high-quality German audio and evaluate AI-generated speech. This fully remote, flexible hourly contract role lets you shape how AI communicates with German audiences around the world.

You’ll record samples, assess naturalness, pronunciation, tone, and expressiveness, and provide constructive feedback. Prior voice work and a good microphone are required; no AI background needed. Work asynchronously on your own schedule.

About The Role

What You'll Do

• Record high-quality voice samples in German from provided scripts and prompts
• Evaluate AI-generated speech for naturalness, pronunciation, tone, and expressiveness
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to improve the quality of AI-generated audio
• Review and refine scripts to ensure they read naturally and are well-suited for vocal delivery
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Experienced in voice acting, narration, audiobook recording, dubbing, or similar fields
• Native or near-native fluency in German with a strong command of natural spoken delivery
• Owner of a high-quality microphone with access to a quiet, controlled recording environment
• Able to deliver clear, expressive, and engaging performances consistently
• Detail-oriented when assessing pronunciation, pacing, tone, and clarity
• No prior AI or tech experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience across multiple voice styles — commercial, narrative, character, instructional
• Familiarity with audio editing tools or DAW software
• Background in linguistics, phonetics, or speech coaching
• Awareness of regional German accents and dialect variation
• Prior experience with AI audio evaluation or voice data projects
