Job summary

ARC – Imperial Valley is seeking a Vocational Trainer for Federal Contract Worksites to supervise janitorial crews and ensure contract quality. The role includes directing consumer workers and coordinating cleaning tasks at multiple contract locations.

Responsibilities cover janitorial duties, window cleaning support, light grounds maintenance, and adherence to safety and program requirements. Strong teamwork and English proficiency are essential for success in this environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• State-issued, REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or ID card
• High school diploma or GED
• Have been a permanent resident for at least 3 years and lived continuously in the U.S. for those 3 years.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English; bi-lingual preferred
• Experience working with developmentally disabled persons; preferred, but not required
• Clean Driving record. Must have the ability to provide a DMV report at the time of hire.
• Maintain a current CPR/First Aid Certification (given upon hire; bi-yearly renewal)
• Meet in compliance with completing a TB/Physical exam upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide general direction and supervision of assigned consumers of the janitorial crew, ensuring contract requirements and quality control are met.
• All room and corridor spaces shall be kept free from dirt, dust and debris through sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming.
• Ensure office glass surfaces are clean and free of dirt, streaks and grime.
• Maintain and dust all work surfaces, including corners and ledges.
• Cleans and services toilet rooms and empties waste receptacles as needed.
• Assist and perform job assignments in areas such as lawn maintenance and window cleaning when assigned.
