Job summary

ARC – Imperial Valley is seeking a Vocational Trainer for federal contract worksites in the Imperial Valley region. The role supervises consumer janitorial crews, ensuring quality and safety while meeting contract standards.

Responsibilities include supervising cleaning tasks, operating equipment, and assisting with grounds maintenance. Must be 18+, with a Real ID, English proficiency, and a current CPR/First Aid certification. Experience with developmentally disabled individuals is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• State-issued, REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or ID.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Speak, read, and write English; bilingual preferred.
• Clean driving record; DMV report may be required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or provided upon hire.
• Experience working with developmentally disabled persons preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise janitorial crew and ensure contract requirements are met.
• Clean offices, glass surfaces, and restrooms per contract standards.
• Maintain and operate janitorial equipment daily.
• Assist with grounds maintenance tasks: mowing, trimming, pruning.
• Set up supplies and ensure safety compliance; report injuries.
• Document progress notes and support consumers' vocational goals.
